Bacterial Hydrogen Generators

Bacterial Hydrogen Generators exist in various experimental forms.

Big Bertha

Many pieces of artillery have been called Big Bertha. Perhaps the most well known of all, was the single Big Bertha, also called The Paris Gun or Lange Max (Long Max).

Bow-beam

The bow-beam runs across the bows of a catamaran and provides support and rigidity.

Josh’s Guns

Josh’s handgun, is FN’s Five-seveN® Pistol. Josh’s sniper rifle, is the Parker Hale M-85.

Queen Victoria’s Cup of Tea

Josh’s joke about Queen Victoria and a “cuppa tea” is a reference to the Opium/Tea war beteen China and Britain in 1839.

Samurai Swords

Samurai Swords were cast from about 200 layers of steel to ensure that only a small chip resulted when the blade was struck by another. The sword literally chipped out only one layer of steel.

SkyFix

SkyFix. The concept of using photographs of the sky to calculate one’s position at sea would not work, so don’t try this at home. One cannot use a two dimensional map to calculate the three-dimensional fix needed, to pinpoint a coordinate floating on a curved surface.

The Camber Dock

The Camber Dock dates back to around 1164. It is today used by small fishing vessels and pleasure craft.
